Getting robbed is already bad enough. But when the thieves take your pants, that just adds insult to injury. A man was robbed at a gas station in Memphis, Tennessee and the criminals took his pants along with all of his valuables.
Thieves take a man’s pants during a gas station robbery
Police officers in Memphis, Tennessee are currently looking for a pair of thieves that are still at large after a gas station robbery.
According to Action News 5, officers responded to a robbery around midnight at the Valero Gas Station at 1171 Chelsea Avenue.
The victim pulled up to a gas pump to fuel his car. When he was distracted, the suspects jumped out of an Infiniti SUV.
They allegedly stole the victims, necklaces, rings, handgun, and pants, which had cash in them. Then the suspects got back in their SUV and fled the scene. I’m a bit surprised that they didn’t take the victim’s white sedan as well.
No arrests have been made, but there is an ongoing investigation. The incident was caught on surveillance cameras but the images are pretty blurry. You can see a few men, a white car at the gas pump, and the grey SUV that the alleged thieves were driving.

The suspects could have simply made the victim empty his pockets, but they must have really wanted his pants. The victim then had to talk to the police in his skivvies. Hopefully, they had a towel or spare pair of sweats for him.
If you recognize the SUV or suspects, please don’t hesitate to contact the police. You could be compensated for providing helpful tips to Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.
Luckily, no one was hurt. Things could have escalated if the victim used his gun to protect himself. It’s unclear how many suspects were involved in the robbery.
