In South Los Angeles, near the train tracks, homeless people gather in small crowds; many just trying their best to survive. For some it’s poverty, lack of affordable housing and domestic violence. For others, there are so many heartbreaking reasons, but sadly pets have become the innocent victims, and too often they suffer from sickness, abuse, neglect and hunger.

Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29 was determined to help rescue some young puppies after hearing about the little ones left in a trash can on the side of a homeless encampment. One of the homeless men had been keeping them there and trying to sell them. Hall and her rescue team approached the man and asked him about the puppies who had not been fed or given water. Their futures depended on the rescuers.

When asked about the mother dog, the man said she had been killed by a car. A third puppy had been taken by another homeless person.

And this video also. The rescuer had not offered the man enough money at that time to give her the puppies. Finally, the deal was done. The puppies had been the innocent victim of greed and neglect.
Now they were safe!
These poor little puppies. After some hard negotiating, the puppies were finally safe. How they survived this long had to have been a miracle. These little ones will have the best life possible. They are safe and arrived at the veterinary hospital this morning.
