Honda is recalling 290,000 vehicles over the risk of them stalling and losing power

Honda has issued a new car recall for more than 290,000 vehicles with engine issues that cause stalling and loss of power.

Software issues are causing transmission problems in these cars.

Everyone knows that Honda makes many of the best cars to buy. This has long been the case, and the company shows no sign of failure. However, no automaker is perfect, and now Honda has a new car recall on its hands over an engine issue that could easily cause car wrecks. As always, auto mechanics at dealerships will fix the problem for free.

Honda, like all automakers, is no stranger to a car recall. According to Newsweek, the company is addressing issues with 294,612 of what many call some of the best cars to buy. The problem stems from a software issue that has been found to cause the engines in these cars to stall or lose power. As mentioned, this includes several of the automaker’s most popular models.

The models impacted by this car recall are the 2022 to 2025 Acura MDX Type S, 2023 to 2025 Honda Pilot, 2021 to 2025 Acura TLX Type S. Specifically, the software issue revolves around the fuel injection electronic control units. Notably, the report says the problem could lead to engine failure, which increases the risk of car wrecks.

People impacted by this car recall should expect an official notification letter in early March. They can reach out to Honda for questions by calling 1-888-234-2138. They can expect the auto mechanics at dealers to fix the issue once the automaker has things in place. The recall numbers are EL1 and AL0.
