In Battle Ground, Washington, the animal rescue group, I Paw’d It Forward, reached out to “good humans out Door Dashing” on January 24, when they spotted an emaciated German shepherd in Vancouver. The dog had obviously been searching dangerously close to traffic, scavenging for food. There was little doubt that these Good Samaritans saved his life.

At this time, the dog’s history remains unknown, but his body score had been a “0” on a scale of “0” to “5”. He had no muscle or fat on his body, and it is not known how he ended up in this condition, however the rescue has been working with their veterinarian and local authorities at animal control to provide answers to the dog’s condition.
Pup is safe and tucked in with us for now. Pup will be on a slow refeed schedule and will get checked out by a vet asap. Man… alive. To the folks who found this pup, you truly saved his life
Check out the video:
The dog is estimated to be two-years-old and weighed in at 31.8 pounds. He received a full physical workup including blood values, fecal, x rays, and gastric testing.

We are so grateful that the young people out door dashing didn’t give up trying to reach out for help last night. We are grateful they didn’t see this pup and drive by. We are grateful they realized the severity and sought help. If you see something, say something.
The rescue group has been seeking more information and is asking the public for their help. Anyone who might recognize this dog or know who the owners are, please contact the rescue at [email protected]
