According to EpicVIN, the 2025 Ram 1500 will be the full-size truck with the highest repair costs. This is based on unique research by EpicVIN and its extensive database on vehicles. 

Reportedly, the new Ram truck has seen its share of reliability issues that might have drivers dishing out tons of cash. The costs are related to repairs and regular maintenance. 

Some notable safety recalls include wheel encoder ring failures, front wheel bearings that can lead to instability of the control system, and faulty fuel injectors that can impact genuine efficiency. 

The costs to repair these items often exceed $2,000. However, these recalls include repairs at no cost to owners. 

This truck came out at the beginning of 2024, allowing owners to report issues that they’ve struggled with. CarComplaints has received 30 complaints from drivers. The biggest issues are related to the engine and electronics, which both have four complaints. 

J.D.Power gave the Ram 1500 a reliability rating of 89 out of 100 for 2025, which is great. Scores between 70 and 80 are average while anything between 81 and 90 is above average. 

The score is based on feedback from actual owners. They are sent surveys to report any issues they faced with the engine, transmission, paint, interior, and more. 

Perhaps this truck had a few growing pains when it launched. But that’s normal for vehicles during the first year of production. Some of these problems may have been addressed and corrected for the new year.
