A Tesla Cybertruck can do a lot. But you might not see many in horror movies for a reason.
Remember those cartoons that also informed kids to avoid drugs or treat each other with respect? Well, a comedy cartoonist released a short highlighting what not to do during a horror movie scenario. Most notably, the short video suggests that a Tesla Cybertruck might be one of the worst options for a getaway car.
A comedy cartoon calls out the Tesla Cybertruck as likely the worst getaway car possible for a horror movie
A comedy cartoon short with over 350,000 likes used Tesla’s most controversial conversation piece as something of a punchline. The “TheOdd1sOut” cartoon features two characters in a horror movie setting. In this case, it’s a log cabin in the woods after nightfall. The characters explode out of the cabin’s front door, closing the door after them to stop an unseen pursuer.
The brightly-colored comedy short then shows the duo’s unmistakable getaway car: a Tesla Cybertruck. Moments later, a Jason-esque slasher character bursts through the door, blood-stained machete in hand. Expectedly, the two characters zoom down the hill and pile into the EV pickup truck.
The characters coax the Tesla Cybertruck to life just in time to illuminate their attacker with the truck’s headlights. With survival in mind, the driver attempts to run the slasher down with the heavy EV pickup truck. Humorously, the Cybertruck’s safety suite stopped the EV using automatic braking, a standard feature of the Cybertruck.
Needless to say, the Cybertruck was a funny choice for a getaway car here. However, stopping a 6,600-lb Cybertruck with two passengers isn’t an easy task, even for automatic emergency braking. In truth, the hulking electric pickup truck would likely crash right through the slasher character.
In fact, a commenter jokingly suggested just that. “When actually the car would run over Jason, crash 10 trees, locking the two inside while shortcircuiting and burning them and the whole forest,” one viewer commented.
Other viewers implored drivers to choose something less Cyber-ish. “And the message here is don’t trust cyber-anything with your life,” a viewer joked. Check out the Cybertruck horror cartoon short below!
