Sweetest Lab at shelter thought she was going home until her owner walked past her and rescued other family dog

At the San Bernardino City Shelter, a three-year-old Labrador retriever was so relieved on Tuesday, January 7, when she saw her owner walking through the kennels.

She was so excited; her tail wagged enthusiastically, she jumped up and down in her kennel cage and was surely ecstatic to have spotted her mom, just knowing soon she would be in the family car and heading home. But wait!

Just days ago, she and a male Lab were found and picked up as strays. Yes, the male Labrador retriever was claimed by his owner; her heart was broken – she was left behind.

She was so excited. she thought she was going home. BUt then she saw her owner leave with her sibling leaving her behind. how could she do such a thing? how could they walk right past her with their other dog and not take her home?

Her advocate, Lois Chisholm, hopes her owner will return, but if not, this sweet dog will be available for adoption. Please share her story. (Her male companion can be spotted behind her. Little doubt the two are likely bonded.)
