In San Antonio, Texas, three German shepherd puppies huddled together in the frigid weather to stay warm depended on each other’s body heat to survive. The puppies had been abandoned in an apartment complex, but fate played a role in their survival, and help arrived just in time.

According to the rescue group, Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd Rescue (SDC), it had been a Good Samaritan who found the puppies and then posted on social media asking for help. The man who found the puppies was not able to take them home, but moved them to a vacant storage unit in the apartment complex and covered them with blankets to keep them warm.
The night before the freeze we saw plea about three puppies that were abandoned in the San Antonio area and how could we say no? We immediately set out to find a foster for these sweet babies!
Fortunately, it had been a woman who read the Facebook post asking for help with the puppies. She went to the location where the Good Samaritan had left them, and brought the puppies home with her. This wonderful family stepped up to shelter them from the cold; they were kept safe during the storm. The seven-week-old puppies were in relatively good health except for fleas, but after their baths were feeling much better.

The sweet pups were moved to their foster home on Wednesday.

They will receive the medical care they need as soon as possible. They have been named Artemis (Arty), Hephaestus (Heph), and Squirt. They are settling into their foster home, staying warm, and getting tons of rest and play time.

But we need your help!
