One lucky pup was rescued on Monday in Suffolk, Virginia after she had been reported trapped on the ice at Sleepy Hole Lake. Suffolk Fire and Rescue were alerted to the emergency situation and arrived ready to help the dog in distress.
According to the Emergency Communication Center, the dog was trapped between the ice and the water, and only her head was seen sticking out above the ice.

When rescuers arrived, a harnessed crew member in a wetsuit was deployed and was able to lift the dog to safety, ultimately by grabbing her by the collar and pulling her to safety.
The dog, named Teaser was not injured. Her owner, Ron Saxby said the dog had wandered away from home and accidentally stepped out in the frozen lake too far, She fell through the ice and luckily was able to keep her head above the ice.
She was warmed up with blankets and reunited with Saxby.
