Customers at an Aldi store in Chicago had a big surprise on Monday morning after a coyote was found hiding in the refrigerated section between the cheeses.
According to Chicago Animal Care and Control, along with the help of the Chicago Police, animal officers were able to remove the wild animal from the city’s Humboldt Park store.

A witness had spotted the coyote roaming the parking lot just minutes earlier; no one knew how the animal got into the store. The next sighting of the coyote was behind a selection of fine cheeses in the refrigerated section. It is believed the coyote just made a bad decision, and while trying to hide and avoid humans, fled to that particular section to hide.
At this time of year, coyotes are mating and are especially active. This one will be moved to the Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation after it is confirmed he is in good health.

I was prepared to see him pull out a opossum or a raccoon. Did NOT expect that pic.twitter.com/4CbaWkjhwy
