The Round Rock Police Department has identified Adam MacLean, 50, of Round Rock, as the man who died in an officer-involved shooting on January 7, 2025.
The incident began around 9:40 p.m. when a 9-1-1 caller reported an erratic driver. The driver, later identified as MacLean, was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Westinghouse Road near Texas Crushed Stone before fleeing into a wooded area.

No officers were injured during the encounter. SWAT Officer Nathan Sosa, a member of the Round Rock Police Department since 2020, has been placed on administrative leave in accordance with department policy.
