Update, 2 p.m.: The afternoon update from the NWS has few changes in the forecast. “Light freezing rain should lead to some travel impacts Sunday morning. Any slick spots should melt later in the afternoon as temperatures warm and precipitation changes to rain,” the update said.
The highest ice accumulations are expected to be along the Tennessee/Kentucky border, including Montgomery County; and along the Cumberland Plateau, east of Nashville.
This will be followed by heavy rainfall Sunday afternoon. There’s a strong possibility of snow showers on Monday.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Montgomery County from 3 a.m. to noon Sunday. The advisory also includes Robertson and Stewart County. Kentucky counties are under a Winter Storm Watch.
Freezing rain expected Sunday morning, with total ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch, according to the National Weather Service.
Difficult travel conditions are possible, so slow down and use caution while traveling, the NWS said. The latest road conditions for can be obtained by calling 511.

- Sunday night: Rain showers before 3am, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Low around 27. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
- Monday: A 40 percent chance of snow showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
- Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
