WPBN: According to authorities, a woman in California was tased many times in the head during what appeared to be a kidnapping by a person in disguise who she recognized as her former housekeeper.
During the time that Erin Quinn was out trying to collect items for a Christmas toy drive, she was brutally attacked in her vehicle by a person who was wearing a blonde wig. The attack lasted for more than thirty minutes.
Quinn asserted that the individual in question was her housekeeper Olga Mendez, with whom she had not communicated for nine months and a half.
Quinn, who resides in Temecula, said that she received a text message on December 18 requesting her to pick up toys for the toy drive. This was the incident that took place. Someone who claimed to be an old woman named Connie sent the message from a number that was difficult to identify.
Quinn stepped out of the car with the intention of going to the house, but when she rang the doorbell, she did not get a response. She was instructed to wait in her vehicle in order for the items to be brought out to her, as stated in another text message.
Quinn asserted that the assailant, who was disguised, was waiting for her in the automobile when she returned to the vehicle as she had been waiting for him.
“I had no idea someone was waiting for me, ready to attack and taser me in the head,” she stated, in a message on a GoFundMe page. “I was tased over 30 times in the head. The one that lasted almost a minute nearly killed me.’

After the battle began, Quinn stated that she did “everything I could to get her off of me,” including kicking her attacker and even chewing a chunk of her finger off “in self-defense.” During the struggle, she also tried to get her attacker off of her. Quinn was able to remove the wig after the truck crashed, and it was at that moment that she informed the driver that she recognized Mendez.
“I strongly believe that her plan was to kidnap me and take me to Mexico for either ransom or sale,” she stated.
Police officials were able to collect evidence such as hair, the piece of finger, the taser, and the wig for use in their investigation. Mendez is said to have fled the scene after a stranger intervened.

According to a press statement issued by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies initially investigated the incident as a domestic quarrel; however, they quickly discovered that it was actually an attempt to abduct someone as well as an attack.
As a result of his injuries, Quinn was transported to a nearby hospital by the cops who responded to the scene.
Ten days after the incident, Mendez, who was 44 at the time, was taken into custody in Paramount. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, she has been charged with kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, and two warrants that are not related to each other.
