Minneapolis, MN – Minnesota residents are bracing for a weekend of bone-chilling temperatures and possible blizzards. At night, minimum temperatures are expected to drop to -10°F to -25°F, with wind chill becoming even lower.
According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, skies will be clear Friday night, but cloudy Saturday. The storm system tracking toward the region is expected to bring snowfall through the weekend. Highs will remain as cold as 0°F to 15°F through Tuesday.
Residents are advised to be prepared for dangerously cold winds and icy conditions. If going out, bundle up and make sure vehicles have emergency supplies.
Storms may disrupt travel, especially on Saturday evening. Officials recommend checking road conditions and staying updated on weather warnings. Despite the harsh conditions, sunshine is expected on Sunday and Monday, which will provide some relief.
Minnesota officials encourage everyone to prioritize safety and check on vulnerable neighbors during this extreme weather.
