Iron, MO – Residents of Iron, Madison and Reynolds counties should prepare for a dangerous snow storm this weekend. The National Weather Service issued an ice storm warning Friday afternoon, predicting dangerous conditions to begin Saturday night.
The storm is expected to cause snow accumulations ranging from a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch, with up to two inches of additional snow accumulation expected. The warning continues from 10 pm Saturday to 6 am Monday.
According to the National Weather Service, significant snowfall could cause widespread power outages and downed tree branches. Travel conditions will likely become hazardous, affecting the Monday morning commute.
