A couple from Mississippi was found dead in their home few days after Christmas, and it appears that they had committed a murder-suicide. Their bodies were found in their home. As per the reports, the couple was in the midst of going through with the divorce proceedings.
When Jennifer Sheffield’s relatives were conducting a welfare check on the morning of December 28th, they came across Brandon Sheffield, who was 40 years old, and Jennifer Sheffield, who was 30 years old. Brandon Sheffield was discovered by Jennifer’s relatives.
Upon entering the residence, members of the Brandon Police Department reported that the family informed them that there were “obvious signs of foul play.” This information was provided by the officers. There is currently an investigation being conducted into the case as a probable murder-suicide.
According to the Brandon Police Chief Joseph French, who talked to the local media Darkhorse Press, the bodies of the slain couple were located inside the residence when the police arrived at the scene at 7:19 in the morning. The bodies were recovered inside the residence.
According to French, it appeared as though Brandon Sheffield had shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. French made this allegation.
French stated in a statement that was distributed to WJTV that the investigation was still ongoing and that it included cooperation from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, which assisted in the processing of the site along with the Crime Scene Unit. French’s statement was provided to WJTV.

In an interview with WLBT, Jennifer’s friend Faye Lott disclosed that the pair had recently ended their relationship and were in the midst of initiating the divorce process. The relationship between Jennifer and Faye Lott had been one of amicable one.
However, Lott revealed to WLBT that she was caught aback by the behavior that Brandon was reportedly responsible for. The cause for their breakup was not disclosed; however, Lott did express her surprise.

“He’s never been a violent person that I was ever aware of,” she stated. “I was with her when they met, and I’ve always loved him for how he loved her. So it’s definitely hard trying to understand something we will never be able to.” She added that he was an “amazing person.”
This information was included in the obituary for Jennifer, which stated that the couple had two children together.
Unfortunately, there was no information made public concerning their locations during the time of what appears to have been a murder-suicide of their parents. This is a disappointing development.
