LITTLE ROCK, AR – Southern and central Arkansas faces a slight threat of severe weather Sunday, including damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes. The National Weather Service (NWS) warned that conditions will be the most severe along the I-30 and I-40 corridors.
According to the NWS Little Rock office, severe storms are expected Sunday morning and will remain strong throughout the day. The primary hazards include wind gusts in excess of 60 mph and hail up to quarter size. Tornado cannot be ruled out. Residents should remain alert to the weather and have multiple ways to receive alerts, especially when traveling on major highways.
The forecast for Saturday shows that it will remain cloudy till the evening with chances of rain. Temperatures will reach 46°F with southeast winds at 15 mph. Overnight, rain becomes widespread, with a 90% chance of rain
