WPBN: On Thursday, the hunt for Clara Robinson, an eight-year-old girl from Oklahoma, entered its tenth day. The search began on Christmas Eve, when floodwaters took her away after her family’s car hydroplaned into a flooded drainage ditch. The sad event occurred on Christmas Eve.
When the car on which Clara and five other members of her family were traveling lost control and crashed into the ditch, they were all traveling on United States Route 75.
The car was quickly tipped over by the power of the water, putting the family in a precarious predicament. “Our goal is still to find Clara,” the Sherman police department stated in a statement, indicating that they are continuing to be committed to the search. It is our hope that this is the day.
In a tragic turn of events, Clara’s father, Will Robinson, a well-liked high school coach in Durant, Oklahoma, unfortunately passed away while fighting to save his daughter.
As a result of his efforts to keep Clara in his grasp for as long as he could until the floodwaters overpowered him, the authorities have praised him as a hero. Because of his bravery in the face of the calamity, his community will never forget the impact that he had on them.
The accident was possible to save the lives of four further members of the family, one of them was a kid of five years old. They were retrieved from the wreckage, and after receiving medical attention, they were eventually discharged from hospitals in the surrounding area.
In the search operation that took place on Thursday, a number of different agencies participated and worked frantically to locate Clara.
The Sherman Police Department, the Sherman Fire-Rescue Department, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Texas Department of Corrections, the Collin County Sheriff’s Office dive team, and Texas Search and Rescue were among the organizations that participated in this operation.

Clara has not been located despite the tremendous efforts that have been made, and the authorities continue to have optimism that she will be found safe and sound.
As a result of the collision, precautionary steps are being implemented in order to forestall the occurrence of similar accidents in the future at the same area.
It is possible that the installation of guardrails along U.S. 75, close to the location where the Robinson family’s vehicle drove off the road, will help lessen the likelihood of future catastrophes that are comparable to the one that occurred.

Since the search for Clara is still ongoing, the Sherman Police Department has issued a warning to the general public to exercise caution when contributing to fundraising initiatives that have not been confirmed.
Creating a bank account at First United Bank is the only legitimate way for the family to raise money for their fundraising efforts.
The authorities are advising people not to contribute to any campaigns that have not been confirmed, and they are making sure that any donations that are made go directly to the Robinson family during this difficult time.
