Cheyenne, WY – A winter storm warning is in effect for the Sierra Madre and Snowy Range, with up to 10 inches of additional snowfall expected before 7 a.m. MST Friday.
The National Weather Service warns of dangerous conditions, including heavy snowfall and winds gusting up to 50 mph. Outdoor activities, such as hiking and snowmobiling, can be dangerous due to low visibility and blowing snow. Travel across the region is also expected to be risky, especially during transit.
Residents are advised to have emergency kits ready and to monitor updated road conditions by calling 511.
