Two Teens Arrested After Shots Fired at Big Spring Residence

On December 31, 2024, at approximately 9:05 a.m., Big Spring Police officers responded to reports of shots fired at a residence in the 1800 block of Benton Street.

The preliminary investigation revealed that multiple suspects were in a black Cadillac four-door passenger car, which had already fled the area. The Big Spring Police Criminal Investigations Division and the Howard County Sheriff’s Office were called to assist.

Detectives identified the suspect vehicle and its frequent location in the 2600 block of Dow Street. Officers responded to the area and located the black Cadillac with four individuals standing nearby.

Officers ordered the individuals to the ground at gunpoint, detaining two while the other two fled on foot.

The two suspects in custody were identified as 17-year-old Zackery Isah Rodriguez and 18-year-old Chris Delbosquez. Both were charged with Deadly Conduct, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

Big Spring Police are pursuing warrants for the two individuals who fled.
