Three Juveniles Dead in Spring After High-Speed Crash in Stolen Vehicle

On Thursday, January 2, 2025, at approximately 12:17 a.m., a stolen 2019 Kia Sorento carrying six juveniles crashed during a high-speed pursuit with Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies. The vehicle, driven by an unidentified juvenile male, was traveling southbound on Sorrel Ridge Drive in Spring, TX, at a high rate of speed when the driver failed to stop for deputies with emergency lights and sirens activated.

The driver attempted to turn east onto the 3900 block of Rolling Terrace Drive but lost control, veering off the roadway and striking a large tree. Emergency Medical Services responded and pronounced the driver and two male passengers deceased at the scene.

The remaining three passengers, identified as juveniles MP, WS, and IE, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. Investigators confirmed that none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
