MANVEL, Texas (KIAH) – Dan Davis, Mayor of Manvel, has confirmed the tragic loss of one life as a result of the tornado and severe storm that swept through Brazoria County Saturday afternoon.
“Please join me in praying for all those impacted,” Mayor Davis shared in a statement on social media, expressing condolences and support for the affected community.
The storm caused widespread damage across the area, with Manvel and surrounding communities experiencing severe weather impacts, including strong winds and many reported possible tornado touchdowns. Touchdowns included Liverpool.
Emergency response teams responded to the damage to help communities affected. Residents on the line of the rain-wrapped tornadoes are urged to stay safe cautious as cleanup efforts are underway and to stay updated on any additional weather threats.
