According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in northern Indiana, a fast-moving clipper system will bring snow showers overnight, which will taper off Friday morning. Lake effect snow may increase accumulation near Lake Michigan. Temperatures will drop into the mid 20s tonight before reaching a high near 26°F on Friday.
Another winter storm could hit the region Sunday night into Monday, with snow and dangerously cold winds possible. Although the exact amount of snowfall is uncertain, snow accumulations are expected to be high in southern and central Indiana. Those traveling during this period should keep a close eye on updates.
Residents are urged to drive with caution tonight as untreated roads may become slippery. There is a possibility of snowfall on Sunday evening, which may affect the travel on Monday morning. Arctic air will come with this system, causing wind chills to drop below zero early next week.
