JACKSONVILLE, FL – Residents in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia are under a freeze warning Friday morning as temperatures are expected to dip into the low 30s.
According to the National Weather Service, the warning will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, affecting Suwanee, Baker, Nassau and Columbia counties in Florida, as well as Coffee, Appling and Wayne counties in Georgia.
Officials recommend taking precautions to protect gentle vegetation, outdoor pets and vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly. Additionally, steps should be taken to insulate water pipes and protect outdoor plants from freezing.
