Raleigh, NC – Sunny skies and cool temperatures will dominate the forecast for Raleigh through the weekend, making for a great start to the new year. Air temperatures could drop as low as 28 degrees Friday morning, so residents should dress warmly during outdoor activities.
According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature on Friday will be near 48 degrees, with light northwest winds between 5 to 7 mph. Friday night will be mostly clear, with a low of 25 degrees and occasional winds as high as 10 mph. The sunshine will continue on Saturday as well, but the temperatures will remain hot and the maximum will be around 39 degrees. The minimum temperature is expected to drop to 24 degrees at night.
It will be mild on Sunday, the sky will be sunny and the maximum temperature will be 46 degrees, but there is a possibility of rain on Sunday night. Residents should be prepared for an 80% chance of precipitation and a low near 36.
