A fatal shooting that occurred on December 25, 2024, at an apartment complex located at 1445 Lakeside Estates Drive will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury for review.
Houston Police Officers responded to a shooting call around 11:50 p.m. and discovered a 22-year-old male in his apartment suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of responding Houston Fire Department paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further investigation revealed that the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute between the deceased and a 24-year-old female. The female suspect is cooperating with authorities, and self-defense is believed to be a possible motive.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has been notified, and it was determined that the case will be presented to a grand jury for further review. The identity of the deceased male is being withheld pending family notification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
