On December 19, 2024, Precinct 8 Deputy Lozano with Harris County Constable Phil Sandlin’s Office conducted a traffic stop for multiple infractions in the 11200 block of the Gulf Freeway. The driver, identified as 40-year-old Nicholas Jerome Harris, was approached by deputies who noticed the smell of marijuana coming from his vehicle.
Upon further investigation, Harris was found to be carrying a large sum of U.S. currency. A probable cause search of the vehicle uncovered 8.5 ounces of marijuana, 18 grams of mushrooms, 18 grams of crack cocaine, 8.5 grams of methamphetamine, 10.24 grams of powder cocaine, multiple pressed pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Harris was charged with two felonies for Possession with Intent to Deliver, with his case accepted by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. He was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center, where his total bond was set at $30,000.
