Baytown Police are investigating a homicide that occurred at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Shady Hill Drive on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a 25-year-old Baytown man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered life-saving measures until Baytown Fire Department and EMS arrived. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives have identified 17-year-old Leondre Lynn as a person of interest in the case. Lynn, originally from Port Arthur, Texas, has been residing in Baytown for the past few months.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to gather more details.
