The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in two aggravated robberies near the Hyde Park neighborhood in the 600 block of Maiden Lane.
The first incident occurred on December 22, 2024, around 9:48 p.m., followed by a second robbery on December 24, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m. In both cases, the suspect, armed with a gun, targeted female victims and fled on foot. Detectives later obtained images of the suspect running through the residential neighborhood near Maiden Lane and W 35th Street.
The suspect is described as:
- Black male
- Late teens to early 20s
- 5’5” – 5’8”
- Medium build
Clothing and Items Carried:
- December 22: A hoodie with a black beanie, carrying a stolen white fuzzy fanny pack, a black crescent purse, and unknown pants/shoes.
- December 24: A black hoodie with a black beanie, black or dark-colored pants, carrying a stolen red shoulder bag, and unknown shoes.
APD is requesting doorbell or surveillance videos recorded in the neighborhood near Maiden Lane and W 35th Street between the following times:
- December 22, 9:45 – 10:00 p.m.
- December 24, 9:15 – 9:30 p.m.

A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
