WPBN: The community is being asked to help detectives and family members find a 3-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped by her mother in Lancaster, California, on Friday. Because of the child’s precarious state, authorities are extremely concerned about her safety.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) said in a statement that the missing youngster, Emerald “Emi” Noele Clairborne, had been listed as “critically missing.”
She has medical issues that need to be treated, and her inability to talk contributes to this classification. Concerns about her wellbeing have increased due to the circumstances surrounding her absence.
According to authorities, the kidnapping took place in Lancaster’s 2300 block of Rosewood Avenue at approximately 3 p.m. on December 27, 2024.
When Emi was last seen, her mother, Brianna Leuvnia Haywood, 24, took her in a car and drove off. Although the vehicle in question is identified as a 2005 white Chevrolet Trailblazer, its license plate number is now unclear.
According to law enforcement, Emi is a Black toddler who is three years old, three feet three inches tall, and weighs about forty-two pounds.
She is physically unique, with brown eyes, short, curly black hair, and a birthmark on her right torso. Emi was dressed in a blue blouse, black jeans, pink light-up shoes, and a pink “Minnie Mouse” jacket when she vanished.
According to the description, Brianna Leuvnia Haywood, the child’s mother, is a Black woman of 24 years old.
She weighs about 109 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair, and is 5 feet 5 inches tall. Authorities currently lack a thorough description of Haywood’s attire at the time of her disappearance.
Citing her medical requirements and the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping, Emerald Clairborne’s family has voiced serious concerns about her safety. Anyone in the community who knows anything that could help her recover safely is being asked to come forward.
