WPBN: After reportedly shooting his older brother in the groin on Christmas Eve, a man who is 22 years old and lives in Pennsylvania has been taken into custody with the charges.
According to the records, Logan Rapsinski was taken into jail on Tuesday and charged with one crime of attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated assault inflicting serious bodily injury, and one act of reckless endangering of another person. All of these charges were brought against him.
According to The Butler Eagle, during the evening of December 24, 2024, at approximately ten o’clock, officers from the Butler Township Police Department responded to a residence located in the 100 block of Crosslands Road.
Rapsinski’s brother, who was 27 years old at the time, was found outdoors on the ground, suffering from what seemed to be a gunshot wound to the crotch, according to the first responders who arrived at the residence.
According to reports, the victim stated that his brother, whom he named as Rapsinski, had just shot him. Rapsinski was tracked down and taken into custody after being spotted a short distance away.
A report from WPXI stated that the brother stated that Rapsinski had left their residence in an upset mood earlier in the evening.
This information was provided by the sibling during an interview with authorities. According to reports, the family reached out to the Butler County Crisis Service in order to receive assistance while the victim drove around the area looking for his brother.
The brother was able to track down Rapsinski as he was sitting in his vehicle on a neighboring street and then approached him.

Rapsinski is said to have pulled out a handgun, loaded it, and then fired a single shot at his brother, hitting him in the crotch and forcing him to fall to the ground. This is the time when the incident occurred. After then, Rapsinski ran away from the scene on foot.
Due to the fact that Rapsinski apparently dialed 911 in connection with the shooting, the police were able to locate him in a short amount of time after the incident.
During the process of Rapsinski’s arrest, the police allegedly discovered a Smith & Wesson revolver with a.380 semiautomatic caliber lying on the ground close to him.
During an interview that took place after Miranda, Rapsinski allegedly stated that the shooting was carried out in self-defense. The individual stated that his brother, who was not armed at the time, approached him on the street and threatened him, stating that he was going to “beat his (expletive).”
