Memphis, TN – Tennessee faces a severe weather threat on Saturday with potential tornadoes, strong winds, and hail. The National Weather Service (NWS) warns residents to prepare for storms expected from 4 p.m. to midnight.

According to the NWS Memphis office, the highest risk is categorized as Level 3, with numerous severe storms possible. Key threats include damaging winds up to 70 mph and tornadoes, along with secondary threats such as heavy rain and localized flooding. Areas across western and middle Tennessee should remain alert.

The NWS urges residents to have multiple ways to receive emergency alerts and review safety plans. Individuals in mobile homes or open areas are particularly at risk and should plan accordingly. Avoid outdoor activities during storm hours and seek shelter in a sturdy building if conditions worsen.

Communities in the highlighted zones should monitor updated forecasts as the situation evolves. Tornado watches or warnings may be issued as the event nears. The NWS advises preparedness over the coming days to reduce risks and ensure safety.
