Man shot during shootout with robbery suspects


HOUSTON, TX – Police are investigating an aggravated robbery and shooting at an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Spenwick around 2:15 a.m. Friday morning.

According to initial reports, a female complainant stated she was approached by several armed males attempting to rob her vehicle as she pulled into the complex. Gunfire was exchanged between the female and the suspects.

The suspects attempted to flee but were trapped by the complex gate. During the incident, an adult male intervened and was shot in the leg by the suspects. Officers on the scene rendered aid before the male victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is in stable condition.

The suspects climbed the fence and fled on foot. No descriptions of the suspects are available at this time.
