A horrifying incident unfolded in Florida when a pizza delivery worker allegedly stabbed a pregnant woman 14 times over a $2 tip. The attack, carried out by 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo, occurred at a motel in Osceola County, where a family was celebrating a birthday.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reported that Alvelo, dissatisfied with the tip she received during the delivery, returned to the motel with an armed accomplice 90 minutes later to carry out the violent assault.
Details of the attack
According to law enforcement, Alvelo and her accomplice, a masked man armed with a gun, forced their way into the victim’s motel room. The victim, her boyfriend, and her 5-year-old daughter were present when the intruders entered.
Alvelo, armed with a knife, attacked the woman while her accomplice yelled for them to flee. As the victim attempted to protect her daughter, she was stabbed multiple times in the back. When she tried to call for help, her phone was smashed by the attackers.
Security footage captured Alvelo arriving in her red Toyota before the assault.
Despite the severity of the attack, the victim survived and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. During her treatment, she discovered she was pregnant.
Arrest and charges
Alvelo was apprehended the following day, but her accomplice remains at large. She now faces multiple charges, including:
