WPBN: A woman from Michigan is searching for answers in the disappearance of her mother, Sharon Marie Cleaveland, who went missing from Daytona Beach three months ago. The woman is frantic to find out what happened to her mother.
According to the Daytona Beach Police Department, Cleaveland, who is 57 years old, was last seen on September 18 at her apartment located at 1105 Hillcrest Drive.
Noel Foraker, her daughter, has been extremely diligent in her hunt for her mother, whom she affectionately refers to as the “cat lady” due to the fact that she has a deep affinity for the many cats that she takes care of living in her neighborhood.
During an interview with WESH, Foraker stated that she had her last conversation with her mother just two days before she vanished.
After a period of twenty-four hours without seeing her, a woman who assists Cleaveland called Foraker, expressing her concern. The hunt for the woman who had gone missing was motivated by this.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. local time on September 19th, the vehicle that belonged to Cleaveland, a Nissan Altima from 2012, was last seen at a Walmart located at the intersection of Polynesian Isle Boulevard and 535.
Foraker made the following explanation: “Walmart has video of her car there, and there is a gentleman in the car.” “Unfortunately, my mother was not seen in the car,” the speaker said. This particular aspect of Cleaveland’s disappearance adds still another degree of mystery to the situation.
It was highlighted by Foraker that her mother is in need of daily medication, and that her unexpected disappearance is utterly out of character.
“It’s been a long three months, and I just [want] some answers,” Foraker stated.

Foraker voiced his dissatisfaction with the initial lack of communication from the police department, but he noted that Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young had apologized for the delay in responding to the situation.
It was acknowledged by Chief Young that the former detective who was assigned to the case may have improved their communication with both the family and the higher-ups in the police department.
“I did appreciate the apology. I am still upset that three months went by,” Foraker stated.
In recent times, the police have committed a greater amount of resources to the search for Cleaveland.
“I just really want the community to help me find answers to bring her home,” Foraker stated. “I just can’t get over it’s been three months, and she hasn’t come home, and somebody knows something.”
Cleaveland is a Caucasian female who stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds, according to the description.
All individuals who possess knowledge regarding the whereabouts of Sharon Marie Cleaveland are strongly encouraged to get in touch with Detective Brown at the Daytona Beach Police Department by dialing 386-671-5249.
