According to the NWS Baltimore/Washington office, precipitation will persist for the next two hours, primarily south of Washington, D.C. Winds from the northwest will remain light, at 3 to 5 mph. Temperatures are expected to rise from the upper 30s into the low to mid-40s by this afternoon, with some sun breaking through by 4 p.m.
Evening temperatures will drop to the 30s under mostly cloudy skies. Urban and bay areas may see slightly warmer conditions compared to the colder mountain regions.
