Bradley, IL Man Charged with First-Degree Murder After Fatal Shooting

Bradley, IL – A 25-year-old Bradley man was arrested after a fatal shooting on North Clinton Avenue on Sunday afternoon.

Bradley Police responded at 2:18 p.m. to a 911 call reporting a person shot at a residence in the 200 block. Officers found Scott McLain, 39, dead inside the home. Police detained Joshua Zilm, 25, at the scene after evidence suggested his involvement.

According to the Bradley Police Department, Illinois State Police assisted with processing the crime scene. Investigators interviewed Zilm before transporting him to Jerome Combs Detention Center. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and no additional injuries were reported. Police have not disclosed if the victim and suspect had a prior relationship.
