What open meeting law? – The Mercury News

“If I’m not going to jail for violating the Brown Act, I don’t care if I break the law.”

— Grace H. Mah, a Santa Clara County Office of Education board member, according to an investigation report to the agency that surfaced last week amid infighting over the board’s abrupt firing of Superintendent Mary Ann Dewan. Mah, who’d voted for Dewan’s ouster, hasn’t commented on the report’s mention of her “willful violation” of policies and open meeting laws under the Brown Act.
