Jinger Duggar Vuolo is expecting her third child with husband Jeremy Vuolo.
The couple, who are currently parents to daughters 6-year-old Felicity and 3-year-old Evangeline, say they’re so “excited” about the addition to their family.
“We’re super excited,” the former “19 Kids and Counting” star told People expressing her relief at not being pregnant in the summertime. “I’m actually all about it. Especially in the heat the past few days, I think I’m not super big pregnant and so I’m not having to worry about the extra heat. I’m like, ‘Oh man, this is going to be such an awesome thing to go through pregnancy, not in the summer.’”
Jeremy notes that even though the pregnancy wasn’t unexpected, he “was still shocked” when he found out the news. “When she told me, I was literally speechless,” he reflects. “She got me good. It was on Felicity’s birthday. Jinger says, ‘I’ve got a gift for you.’ It was in an Amazon bag. So I’m thinking, ‘What did she get from Amazon for me?’ Then I open it up and it’s the positive result, and I’m actually speechless.”
The pair, who tied the knot in 2016, shared the sweet moment in a YouTube video on Tuesday. “Are you serious?” Vuolo asked his wife as he took the positive pregnancy test out of the bag.
But before sharing their news with the public, the couple told their two daughters they were going to be big sisters during a family photoshoot. “We got Felicity and Evangeline each a denim jacket with the words, ‘BIG SIS’ on the back,” the “Counting On” alum told People. “The photographer captured the sweet moment when they realized what those words meant.”
She continued: “Felicity started jumping up and down in excitement over the news. Evangeline wasn’t quite sure what to make of the news. But we are certain that once the baby arrives, she will be all about her new role as big sis.”
And as for whether they can see themselves expanding their family even more in the future Jinger admits, “We’ll see. … I mean, I felt like I was set with two, but I don’t know. Three was kind of what we had always said was a really good number. So, three or four. I don’t know. But I think three is what I’m leaning towards right now.”
