OAKLAND — A 32-year-old man shot last month at a homeless camp has died from his injuries, police said.
The man died at a hospital from his injuries on Friday, according to police. He had been shot about 2 p.m. on Sept. 28 at a homeless camp in the 600 block of 29th Street.
Authorities did not identify him immediately Monday morning.
Police have not said whether the man lived at the camp or if he was visiting somebody there. They said they are still investigating the motive for the violence and did not have any information on a suspect.
The homicide investigation is the 71st this year by Oakland police. A year ago at this time, they had investigated 103 homicides.
