Cupertino residents can get emergency prep training – The Mercury News



Emergency prep training

Cupertino’s Office of Emergency Management is presenting a free training session on “Family and Neighborhood Preparedness” on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 7-9 p.m., at Cupertino City Hall, 10300 Torre Ave.

Topics include what families need to have in place to have a better outcome after an emergency, and what neighborhoods can do together to check on each other, manage small events before they become too big to handle, get resources and information and take care of each other until help arrives.

Ballot drop-off

Cupertino residents have a number of options for dropping off their mail-in ballots for the Nov. 5 general election. Ballot drop-off boxes are located outside of Cupertino City Hall, 10300 Torre Ave.; the Cupertino Library, 10800 Torre Ave.; and the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road; and in parking lot A1 at De Anza College, 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd.

The last day to register to vote is Monday, Oct. 21. For more information, visit sccvote.org.
