Kenyan Man Caught in Boston After Year-Long Escape
According to the report of Washington Times, Kevin Adam Kinyanjui Kangethe a Kenyan fugitive wanted in Massachusetts for the murder of his girlfriend, Margaret Mbitu has been brought to the United States. Kangethe who was caught almost a year after escaping landed in Boston from Nairobi on Sunday. He will appear in Suffolk Superior Court on Tuesday to face charges related to Mbitu’s death. Her body was found in a car at Logan International Airport on October 31.
Kangethe’s escape from Kenyan custody in January added drama to his case. After a visit from his lawyer he managed to get away from a police cell, which led to punishment for four officers. He was caught again a week later and his extradition process continued. Investigators found that Mbitu had left her job and traveled to Lowell, Massachusetts where Kangethe lived.
