California Dream For All Shared Appreciation Loan Program Expanded
Breaking Down Barriers to Homeownership for Undocumented Immigrants
According to hollywoodunlocked, The California Senate voted to make a change to a program that helps people buy their first home. The program is called the California Dream For All Shared Appreciation loan program. This program helps people who don’t have a lot of money buy a home. Now, people who are not documented in the US can also apply for the program.
The program was created to help people who are low-income or middle-income buy homes in California. The program will give loans to people who want to buy their first home. The loan will help pay for the down payment, which is the part of the money needed to buy a home. The person who introduced the bill, Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, wants to make sure that everyone who wants to buy a home can apply for the program, no matter what their immigration status is.

California Governor to Decide on Controversial Program Change
Some Republicans in California do not like this change. They think it is not fair to use taxpayer money to help people who are not documented in the US. They think it would be better to help people who are already citizens of the US. The governor of California, Gavin Newsom, will now decide whether or not to make this change a law.
