Mississippi Unclaimed Money Tour Stops in Gulfport: Free Help Available to Find and Claim Funds

According to the Sun Herald, the Mississippi Unclaimed Money Tour is heading to Gulfport this week to help locals discover if they have any unclaimed funds. Join them on Thursday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to noon at Boozer’s Brew, located at 802 East Pass Road. Enjoy some free coffee while the friendly staff assist you in finding and claiming any money that might be rightfully yours.

State Treasurer David McRae wants people who don’t have computers or who find the website confusing to come to the event. Past stops on the tour have helped many people find money they didn’t know they had. The staff will assist with the process of claiming these funds.

Check for Unclaimed Money Online: About One in Ten People Have Funds Waiting

People who can’t attend in person can also search for unclaimed money online. By entering their name and city on the state’s website, they can check if they are owed any money. McRae says about one in ten people have unclaimed money, so it’s worth checking to see if any is waiting for you.
