Minnesota Homeowners and Renters: Property Tax Refund Claims Due by August 15, 2024
Nearly $900 Million Issued in 2022 Property Tax Refunds; Homeowners and Renters Should Check Eligibility
According to KKOJ, the Minnesota Department of Revenue is reminding homeowners and renters to file for their 2022 Property Tax Refund before August 15, 2024. You can also file for 2023 refunds until August 15, 2025. Renters who have already filed are starting to get their refunds, and homeowners should see their refunds starting late August.
So far, more than 987,000 people in Minnesota have filed for 2022 property tax refunds, with nearly $900 million already issued. Homeowners have received an average of about $1,465, while renters have gotten about $964.
