DWU Offers Payment Plans and Assistance to Avoid Late Fees and Disconnection
According to Dallas City News, Dallas Water Utilities (DWU) is offering payment plans to help customers with overdue accounts before they start charging late fees and disconnecting services again on September 18, 2024. This follows the launch of the new online payment system, DallasGo, in March 2024, which temporarily paused service interruptions and late fees. Currently, 26% of DWU customers have bills that are more than 60 days overdue, with an average amount of $127.
To avoid disconnection, Dallas Water Utilities is encouraging customers with overdue bills to set up a payment plan. You can email [email protected] to arrange a plan that spreads payments over up to six months. If you’re facing financial difficulties, the Operation WaterShare program can provide extra help. More details are available on the Dallas Water Utilities website.
