According to KTTC, Minnesotans who qualified for a 2023 property tax refund can track it on the Minnesota Department of Revenue‘s website. Eligibility requires a valid Social Security number, residency or 183 days in Minnesota, payment of rent on a property where the owner paid property tax, an income under $73,270, and not being a dependent.

To track your refund, you can use the “Where’s My Refund?” service on the Revenue Department’s website if you have filed a return within the last 12 months for 2020 or later. When using this service, make sure to enter the same information you used on your 2023 filings, like your Social Security number, date of birth, and the exact refund amount. Both homeowners and renters who meet these qualifications can claim and track their refunds through this online tool.
