Louisiana Tax Refunds: Claim Your Money by September 6 or Risk Losing It
According to KSLA News 12, Louisiana taxpayers have until September 6, 2024, to claim their state tax refunds before they become unclaimed property. The Louisiana Department of Revenue has sent letters to 18,801 people and businesses, telling them to claim their refunds before the money is turned over to the state treasurer’s office.
To claim a refund, Louisiana taxpayers can either go to the website www.revenue.louisiana.gov/UnclaimedRefund and enter the needed information or fill out and return the voucher from their notice. The Department of Revenue will send paper checks to everyone who claims their refund by the deadline.
