Three Charged in Violent Kidnapping and Bridge Incident in Okmulgee
Victim Forcibly Thrown Off Bridge Twice; Suspects Face Serious Charges
According to True Crime News, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma three people are facing severe charges after allegedly kidnapping a man, duct-taping him, and forcing him to jump off a bridge into oncoming traffic. On July 25 authorities responded to a report of a person jumping into traffic and found the victim who was badly injured. Emergency workers took him to the hospital for urgent medical treatment. The Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office has revealed that the victim was taken against his will bound with duct tape and threatened at gunpoint by Brianna Nohmer, Jaysen Lawson, and Sean Lunney. The situation is particularly alarming due to the extreme violence involved.
A probable cause statement indicates that Lawson’s sister told the police that her brother and Lunney kidnapped the victim with the aim of killing him. During the investigation Lawson confessed that Lunney forced the victim to jump off the bridge while holding a gun. The victim survived the initial fall but was then re-taped by Lunney who threw him off the bridge a second time causing more injuries. This horrifying act was carried out with a clear intent to harm the victim further illustrating the severe nature of the crime.

Suspects Booked and Bonded; Investigation into Brutal Case Continues
The three suspects were booked into the Okmulgee County Detention Center on July 25. Lawson faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon attempted murder and kidnapping with a $300,000 bond. Nohmer is charged with assault with intent to kill and kidnapping with a $250,000 bond. Lunney is charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, and pointing a firearm also with a $250,000 bond. Authorities gather more details about the case the investigation is ongoing.
