Louisiana Tax Refund Deadline Approaching: Claim Over $15 Million Before September 6, 2024
According to the report of New Orleans City Business, Louisiana officials are reminding taxpayers to claim over $15 million in state tax refunds before September 6, 2024. If people don’t claim their refunds by this date, the money will go to the state treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Division. The Louisiana Department of Revenue has sent out letters to 18,801 people and businesses, telling them about the deadline.
To claim their refunds, taxpayers can either go to www.revenue.louisiana.gov/UnclaimedRefund to provide their details online or fill out and return the voucher included in their notice. The state will send paper checks to those who meet the deadline.
